Private Replies
Private Replies allow you to automatically respond to comments made on a Facebook or Instagram Post based on a set of NLP and business rules that you define. Once the user engages with your private reply, they're an acquired user. To learn about analyzing your private Replies, read our Private Replies Analytics Documentation.
pages_messaging Permission
Your app will need pages_messaging permission in order to take advantage of the Private replies functionality. Read the Facebook Documentation
Private Reply Overview
Private Replies are found in the 'Compose' section of the Snaps platform. The primary view contains a table of all of your existing Private Replies
1. Status - Whether a Private Reply is active or inactive, when a Private Reply is inactive, it won't run, even when a user matches the conditions.
2. Name - The name of the private reply.
3. Tags - The Tags applied to your Private Reply.
4. Date Created - The date your private reply was created.
5. To Block - The block users get directed to when the match the conditions within a private reply.
Private Reply Components
There are three primary sections in a Private Reply form, we'll cover each in depth below.
Setup
1. Name - The name of the Private Reply.
2. Description - The description of this Private Reply
3. Page - For customers with multiple pages you can select the specific page you'd like to associate your private reply with.
4. Post - Select the individual post you'd like to run your Private Reply on, if you'd like to run your Private Reply on all posts, select "All".
5. Respond to Post Comments - Leave a reply on the comment your user left on your Facebook post, this can be used if you'd like to let the rest of your community know you're responding to these messages privately, ie "We sent you a private DM in Messenger."
